Don't know if I ever posted about it at the time, but I was on the RC team for the dressage qualifiers in June, and we came second of 19 teams. At the time no one knew if that meant we qualified or not, and BRC couldn't confirm it til they recieved the paperwork, and said until we recieved the invite we should assume we hadn't, as clerical errors etc from the qualifiers coulld mean we did or didn't! Anyway, I gave up on the idea, had other plans for the weekend of lincoln etc. So yesterday we get a call from someone on the exec (not the dressage team manager, not the overall team manager, and not the chairman/secretary!) saying she had recieved the paperwork, and apparently there was a problem with the first lot of invites that got sent out so we never got one....but now we do! I was initially reluctant, short notice, paid entry fees etc for that weekend locally, etc, but the others convinced me and our chairwoman has lent us her lorry, so we are off to Lincoln! Anyone been before? WHat is it like? Are the tests on grass? Is it fun? Can the dog come with me? Are the trade stands good?!?!

Tests are on grass, dog can go, trade stands are generally very good, & you'll have a really good time!!!

DO NOT under ANY circumstances forget your FLU VAC!!!

Good luck - really hope you enjoy it.

Cool, thanks Zebedee, v excited now! One team member has broken her leg so we are hunting for a replacement at the moment but I'm sure we will find one.

I know! Thats why we are franticly searching for one today....Got to send form off today don't we? Only found out about this on Tuesday night, as the lady who the form had been sent to was away on holiday until Tuesday.

Well done Em, i'm sure you'll be great. I would go but thats the weekend of Henley Show and Rob would kill me if i couldn't go with him. Also the trade stands would be far to tempting and i've got a feeling Pandora's going to cost me a small fortune for a few months so no extra spending for me! Conor's away next week so i thought i could do dinner one night or something,we're off to Swanage for the weekend with my family and then me and Rob have the place to ourselves for a whole week, yay! If i can sort a saddle out that fits Dora i might get to hack her out soon.

and congrats!!!!!!!
a push bike is a very good idea, as large site

warning 'zeb' is very correct about flu and vac, BUT also be prepared for results to take a very very very long time with results, if you have long journey, either take driver or think about staying extra nite.
As last year prizing giving was very late and we had 5hrs journey home - it's was a complete nightmare!!!!!!!!!i didn't get home until 1am!!!!!!!!! should of stayed.
This year we taking driver so i'll sleep on way home

His flu etc should be fine, we do lots of RC team stuff so it gets check regularly and been ok so far. We are thinking we will drive up that morning, really early, as apparently our class starts at 2pm, and then stay that night, so late results won't matter. Sharing driving hopefully in a borrowed horsebox, as not sure Bluebell the 22yr old Bedford would make it!!
Are you doing the dressage too?
Thanks Em, dinner one night next week would be lovely, we are pretty free, know I've got last minute cramming with Dilys for th N33 I have somehow ended up being on the team for, on thursday night, but otherwise pretty free. Got to show you the particulars for the house!!

Yeah doing pairs and rural riders for my sins

Club has got novice team plus a open sj aswell, so it should be ace party really looking forward too it, just praying for good weather

Your club sounds pretty active, what is the name? I'll look out for them! We are the only team for our club but we all know each other pretty well, so should be fun. Wish I'd done the area SJ instead of the London and South East now, I might have got to do both up there!!
