Gundog trainer recommendations?

As above, can anyone recommend me a good gundog trainer in the North West (East Lancs/Yorks border but will travel within an hour or so). I'd like to really get on top of my springer cross with a view to using him for beating/possibly some roughshooting. I'd rather use someone "traditional" but not too scary, I will not stuff him with food or use a clicker (sorry to clicker fans!)

Any suggestions gratefully received!

We used Steve Moran (off Jn 19 of M6) to train our to German Pointers about 10 years ago.
I would recommend him. We only needed a few one on one sessions (we went through the same training with both dogs separately), to have two very obedient dogs.

I would happily take any other dogs we may have to him, even though we live about an hour from him.
