Hi I was just wondering if anyone on here would fancy giving me a bit of a hand really. I've got an ex-racehorse who I was thinking of doing a bit of showing with, but I just wanted someone more experienced to flash a few pictures to and see if it's worth it really! And if they thought he'd stand a chance in normal classes. Everyone tells me he's pretty and give it a go, but then he draws you in with his character if you know him so it's hard to be detached :D

I think he's a riding horse type, but showing is not really my forte. He's started competing in a bit of unaff dressage and jumping with some success in the last few months after a long ride since last aug! (Such a short time, but such a lot has gone on) And is starting to get the idea of this schooling and 'work' idea.

So just wondering if any showing people fancied being PM'd a few pictures to cast an experienced (and hopefully helpful! :o showing is very new to me!) eye on and advise.

Many Thanks

Feel free to pm me some, won't get a chance to reply til either this evening or possibly tomorrow.

Have done a lot of ROR showing been to HOYS with ex racehorse as well as doing riding horse and hack classes so whilst a long way from a guru have a fairly wide knowledge of such things!

Sent you a long winded PM Humble pie :o You deserve a medal if you get through it!

If anyone else would like to have a look a picture or three any advice would be appreciated.

You need Lolo! :)

No, humblepie is 100% the person, as they have loads more experience- I'm just louder! I am a total nerd though, with a sister who will not go into a ring and look out of place so I did tonnes of research before she started with Reg. If you want, OP, feel free to message me as Al has done county and local stuff with her boy and so we've got a fair bit of experience now...

Lol thats just what I need! Just someone to explain the finer points and what to expect with my boy!

I will send you a PM with some pics if that is okay to see what you think!

That would be great! It's just something I'd love to give a go.

I've moved from jumping to more flat work based life due to a fractured back last October time, so I'm just regaining confidence, and comfort levels whilst riding! So its a whole new game to me really

Will reply in the morning as off out now. Looks a good sort from your photos and please get lolo's input as well. Two heads and all that.
