Hey there.

I've been using "Protexin Gut Balancer (Bio-Premium) for Horses" as an ad-hoc supplement when new grass is allowed, when stressed, change of feed, change of hay and so on and it's done very well very quickly. Usually what I see to prompt me to use this is very loose/runny cow pat poos. A little of this and they're pretty much sorted so it seems to work very well for what I use it for.

However, it's quite expensive for such a little tub! Are there any others that people have used that are any good OR just straight herbs (e.g. nettles, garlic) that are natural gut aids without all of the added stuff? Figured it was worth an ask before I added it on to my order today. :)

Cheers!

Activated charcoal. I love Protexin, but save it for special occasions! Charcoal seems to do the trick for feed/forage changes.
Don't use it if horse is on any meds
