Ive just had a reply to Bertie's ad, the lady's coming to see him on Saturday, I feel so gutted but happy, she sounds really nice,
Heres what she put after I told her he's still available, she's quite local, about 15 miles away,

Cool Smiley

can i come and see him?

How much are you asking for him?

I want something young for me to pamper and bring on for when my daughter is bigger, as she is still small enough for her dartmoor pony ATM. but I want something for me to ride too., as we have 5 ponies and we never sell any of them on, we keep them for life. So one horse between us will stop us having a whole herd, as 6 will be enough Cheesy

We have our own stables and land at the back of our house and anything we have will be spoilt kiss. I particulary want a gelding to even up our brood, as we have 3 mares and 2 geldings, so there are enough hormones flying around for our liking Roll Eyes

Can I have some hugs please and convince me I am doing the right thing!

Aw, I cano only imagine how hard it must be for you to sell Bertie, but from her email, she sounds just the kind of person you'd want to sell to- a home for life with lots of pampering and friends.

Go with your gut feeling, check out her place to see for yourself and then go from there

<hugs>

She's the 1st person to enquire, but he's only been advertised for a couple of weeks, she does sound really nice on the phone too, and she's not too local.

Its so hard isn't it

My mare Mouse was ment to go on loan to some very good friends of mine this weekend, on Monday they called to say that something had cropped up and sadly they couldn't have her anymore.
So me and mum decided we would put her on horsemart for sale and see what response we would get,
well we have been shocked by the response and have had 3 people come to see her (all of which wanted her) and a waiting list.
They have all been lovely and we sat down last night and decided which home would be best for her, we called the lady to tell her the news and so subject to a 2* vetting Mouse is sold, it really hit home last night.
i know it's the right thing to do for her though and i couldn't ask for a nicer home.
im just looking at the horse hair jewellery thought it would be a nice memory.
Good Luck ((((Hugs)))))

Sounds nice... maybe you could go and view her yard and other horses before selling him, just so yoo know he will be ok ? x

I just keep reminding myself that with the money I'll be able to learn to drive and buy a little car.
Ive known him since he was 2 days old and saw him almost everyday until I got him when he was weaned,
When she comes to see him and IF she decides to have him then I'll ask if I can come and see where he'll be going. She's a bit like me I think.(soppy)!!
I wouldn't be selling him if I thought I could save money to drive, but I can't!
I've still got my other 2 boys.
