Gutted - RIHS no Eventing Grand Prix this year!

Am I the only one majorly disappointed that this great event has been pulled from the RIHS programme this year.

No talk of it returning.

Had booked day off work specially.

Gutted!

As far as I remember it hasnt been pulled as it was announced some time ago it would not be in this years program.

Apparently due to television coverage not available on the Thursday from Sky Sports.

I think sky are good to give any coverage really as it's a minority sport and I can't imagine it gets many viewers or revenue tucked away on sky sports 3 or 4 or wherever it is these days.

I think its a pretty stupid move - surely these more "fun" classes are the ones most people want to watch...

Exactly! It is such a great event and I make a special trip to RIHS every year on the Thursday to see it. :-(

Yes they are fun but I think SJing fans will watch any classes.
