Spotty horse, is not the one for me, i have had him on trial for a week and we just have not gelled, he is a poppet on the roads and out and about, but he will not school without a big argument and he throws tantrums when i get strict with him, he is not scared, but doesnt want to do it, and when i do get him to go in he is incredibly green about it all, which would be fine if he was priced accordindly but at £6500 i would hope for a horse who has a fair amount of schooling.
Absolutly Gutted that he hasnt worked out and feel like i have failed.
Am i asking for too much, is there a horse out there for me, i just dont know

No you aren't asking too much. You were paying a premium for his Spots - you can swap that to something that suits you better. At least you had him on loan and found out before you bought him

£6,500 is a really decent amount of money and you should be able to find something really nice.

I wasnt supposed to be looking at any priced over £5500 but thought he must be good as he was more expensive! what a muppet i am!!
As you say it is very lucky the lady was happy for me to have him on trial, otherwise i would be a very unhappy bunny today!

Please don't feel that you have failed; this is one horse out of millions of others who would be more perfect for you, just keep searching and when you have found the right one you will be so glad that you kept looking. I myself have been dissapointed a few times in the last year in my horse-searching but know i am even more positive about what the future may bring horse-wise. put this behind you (i know it seems really hard) and soon you will be glad that you didn't buy him when you find your real soulmate

you should look for something better schooled if you are willing to pay that price.
