Went to vets yesterday afternoon, and horses leg is as i suspected worse than the origional vets found.
He has a big hole in his chesck ligament. This is the best of the structures to damage, but what he's done to the chesk is the worse he could of! They have injected the hole to help new growth and reduce inflamation. 10 days box rest, then only if he's saine (which i dont think i'll chance) he can be walked out. Then back to vets in a month.
He is loving his bright pink bandage tho!! They said at best he might be back doing some kind of work in 3 months or could be up to 9 months. I know its not as bad as it could be but he's my best horse, and we lost last year thorugh injury aswel. Just typical that you just get going again and something else happens!!
I was abit upset last night, cant help thinking i should have done something to prevent it/ or gone to these vets in the first place. Oh i dont know its all if's and but's but sh*t happens i suppose.
Anyone else had any similar injuries? (i mean your horse!)
