So sorry to hear your bad news - what a horrible double whammy for you

. If you don't want to put her through a long period of box rest, have you thought of asking your vet his thoughts on resting her in a very small paddock where she can't charge about? I do know of people who have done this in the past with good results.

we have just found out two of my OH's horses aren't in foal and as one of them is getting on we aren't sure if she will hold again he is gutted too
but that is no where as bad as the horrible decision you are having to cope with.
sending huge hugs to you and your horse.
