Guttural pouches inhaling food pony is a friends. Any experiences that lease?

Sorry yes pony has issues eating. Keeps having food come down her nose. Has had a load of dentistry but problem still there. She’s had an inhalation pneumonia once before with it. It’s all a bit distressing as vet wants her in for investigation as not really sure what’s happening.

i had that happen with the horse in my profile pic. took a while in vets hospital to figure issue, but it turned out he was inhaling food into his lungs, so had chronic low level infection. they actually injected botox into his vocal chords I think to stop food going down the wrong way. he got that done about 8 years ago and is 22 and still in work. when he was in vets hospital they put cameras down to see what was happening

your best bet would be to find the best vet's hospital near you. When the issue started, I just used a local vet who gave me antibiotics, then thought it was COPD. it was only at the bigger vets hospital they found the issue with their equipment.

Yes her vet is referring her. Just wanted to hear any experiences good or bad. Thank you.
