Guy Robertson Yorks - experiences please?

I am considering sending my homebred 3 yr old away for a bit of life experience and to learn some new skills that with a new job and lots of travel I just am not able to give her any consistency with.

I am considering Guy Robertson in East Yorks and wondered if anyone has any reviews please before I send my pride and joy off to the unknown! Many thanks.

A friend sent hers to him a few years ago. She really rated him. Unfortunately her horse could not be helped and was pts.

A friend has recently sent hers and is really pleased. I’m sending my 4 year old, hopefully soon, but I need a companion pony for my other horse. Applied for rescue but they want me to have a horse nearer the size of both mine. When you have 2 at 16.2hh I don’t want a 3rd! Looking for a little one so I may be sending next year at this rate!

Super nice chap, got a very quiet and calm way about him which the horses seem to really respond to.

I think he's good one, I know a few western horses started by him and made very nice riding horses. I did one clinic with him as well and he knows his stuff.

Put an advert on your local FB horsey site for a companion pony. This is what I did when we had to have our old companion pony PTS. We got a super little pony mare who is absolutely lovely and stays by herself when I ride out my mare.

My 16.3's companions are 11.2 and 13hh. What a nonsense rule. They take no nonsense from him but don't eat too much or have the complex needs of a larger retired horse.

@ElvisandTilly Try Redwings. I have a 10hh companion for 16hh and 17hh horses. They're geldings and she's a mare and defo the boss despite being old and diminutive.
