Gypsy Cob Society passports

I am very pleased that this society has had their right to issue passports revoked success at last. When a passport office tells someone to just cross out the colour and right it in yourself you know its dodgy.

Yes totally agree
Just coming up to Kirkby Stephen Horse sale (500lots) many foals
Loads of the sellers will be saying our passports have not come through
Trading Stds apparently had an email from DEFRA saying this society defunct as of 2nd Sept (?) but not who had taken it on
They have not updated with NED since May (neither have some others) so the whole sale or a big chunk of it is going to be a paperwork nightmare
OK not my problem but...........friends with people who have to sort it!
 
Just to advise, the Gypsy Cob Society is nothing to do with the TGCA [Traditional Gypsy Cob Association], just for the record. We are aware of the problem. If anyone has passport enquiries of any kind please email the TGCA and we will do as much as we can to help gypsy cob owners!

how would this effect owners and horses currently passported with them ?Just go to others to get overstamped ?Wonder if anyones sent passports/money and not recieved anything back then !

I was hoping there would be info--ie where people should go like when R Steel gave up instructions were there to transfer to Donkey breed Society
Just dreading people turning up at sale on Sat minus passports they have sent for in good faith.
 
Phone DEFRA. I had a horse that was registered with The British Spotted Pony Society (I think) which was a slightly dodgy essex based PIO. They had their license revoked too. DEFRA knew all about it and told me who to contact instead as the passports had been taken over by another PIO.
