H&H Letter - Jonty Evans

Just read the H&H letter of the week from Jonty Evans and it has brought tears to my eyes

Clearly someone who loves his sport and was so happy with his Badminton, although it wasnt perfect, no complaints or blame just a rider grateful to his horse and team. Just how it should be

The cheer he got going over the bank was brilliant he punch the air!

I love Jonty, hes such a good guy. He did so well considering everything.

He totally deserved his bottle of sparkling.

Lets hope a few of the other top sportspeople learn something from his letter.

i saw him come over the bank (after nearly being hit by the horse ambulance) and he had such a good spirt and was out there to enjoy the sport!

How nice to hear from a 'small man' in terms of rider power, how much it meant to him and his team to be there and take part. Oh that some of the so called 'big-wigs' could follow his example instead of behaving like prima donna's!

Good luck to Jonty for the future - go, sock it to them and show them sportsmanship isn't dead!

Yep agreed - enjoyed reading it! Even when the dog chased him he was laughing. Now HE is a good ambassador for the sport!!

I too felt it was a fantastic letter and so pleased he got a bottle of bubbly. I saw him dismount after his round and he looked in so much pain.

He showed in that letter what eventing and having horses is all about

We cheered him at the Giants Table and he was grinning like a Cheshire cat as he galloped past - what a truly genuine bloke.
