The top forum threads for the letters page are selected on a Monday morning as that is when the letters page goes to press. The posts are selected at that time on a basis of popularity, level of response and suitability for publication in the magazine. This post will be pinned at the top of the New Lounge each week to help readers locate the posts as by Thursday most of them have disappeared due to the high levels of traffic in the forum. I hope this helps clarify things for you.
