H&H please can't we have an easier way to upload pics?

Can we not have a link to upload photos? I know I am hopeless with technology but many other people are too. It would be so nice to be able to click 'upload photo'...

But you can: when you reply/start a thread, use the yellow icon that looks like mountains on a postcard to upload from your computer (it's not visible until you open the box to reply/start a thread) Or you could make a (free) photobucket account and copy/paste the img code which embeds the pic like so:

It's simple on iPad. Do a photo bucket account and load your pics on it then start a thread and then leave h and h and go to photo bucket chose your pic, click on icon in top right of pic frame it looks like a chain, chose img one and copy it then leave photo b go back to h and h and tough comment box area and in pops paste icon. Tough it and finish post.. Hope this helps, does sound long winded but easy once done few times

Thanks everyone- using iPad too, or Iphone. Hate the photobucket thing, I have to upload to photobucket, then log onto h&h, then copy across. It seems like such a mission that I end up giving up.

Wish I could just snap a pic with my phone and upload it directly to H&H.

Yep, that's no problem re photobucket, I think the issue raised in this thread is asking why as with some other websites, you can't just select a photo from your PC or iPad or whatever and upload it straight onto the forum, rather than having to go all the way via photobucket or whoever (as an aside since their last update, the photobucket process is worse than it was before for IPad)....

I totally agree, some other forums I have seen have a simple "choose photo" type button for uploading. So much simpler, I can't be doing with the faff of Photobucket either!

HHO would need mahoosive amounts of space to host all the pics us lot upload. Get the Photobucket app, its really not a big deal to switch between the two.

I can't be bothered with photobucket either. On the rare occasions I've wanted to post a photo I upload onto my profile then link it to that.

Agree,especially as photos in your albums on profile can be uploaded from the camera/iPad etc,why can't the same be done on threads.
I have never uploaded photos to threads as can't be doing with thephotobucket type arrangements.

It's really not HHO's fault. They provide us with a free (ad supported, though some of us hide them, oops) forum. And now you want image hosting too?

Adding an image to your post isn't as easy as clicking a button to 'add' a picture, no. It must be stored somewhere public online where everyone can access it. That requires disc space, and bandwidth, which both cost money. There are many sites which will allow us to do that for free. We then have to put a link to that uploaded image in our posts - that's pretty standard.

What more are you expecting from your free bulletin board? That you pay nothing for?

There are plenty of dedicated places to upload your image for free, usually well documented with good instructions so even if you're not terribly techy you can work it out. It's really a bit much to expect HHO to support that, too.

If you posted about how you'd sent your youngster off to a SJ trainer but were now royally pissed off that it couldn't half-pass, I guess...

I find it dead easy on an iPad, just flit between hho & photobucket. However, 99% of the time I'm on here on my phone & its so annoying not being able to upload pics from it

Trouble with the photobucket app is now you can't resize the photos so they come up mahoosive on here. So I don't bother anymore.

I do all my posts from my iPhone, I have he photo bucket app so upload directly to that from my iPhone then copy to here. It really is very easy.

Same, I have all websites permanently open so I can flick between and I just press the button for the home screen of my iPad to access the productivity area where photobucket lives.

I don't know why lachlandandmarcus can't see the postcard icon you have to be writing a reply and it's above the white bit where you write, 5th icon from the right along the top of your text box.
