If you saw my post last week about my horse for sale ad being put in the H&H with the wrong telephone number, they have just done it again yesterday!!! The same error. I am losing patience now.

I am worried people will just think I can't sell the horse. It's a big 2 column advert, cost me £256. (H&H have offered me a refund this time tho.)

What would you do?

that is so so wrong i would be absolutely livid you poor thing what a waste of your time and patience. good luck. ps ask them to put a exert in "sorry incorrect tel previously provided" so people know for sure.

Thanks, they will not annotate the ad with that. I have asked, but they said it's not their policy to do that.

Also, I am paying for the horse to be professionally ridden at their yard, which isn't cheap! The error is also costing me money apart from being really fustrating.

Have you tried calling the number they printed? If it is a working number you might be able to explain the situation to whoever owns it and see if they would pass on your actual number when someone calls. (and then send them a bottle of wine of something as thanks)

Blooming heck that's terrible! How on earth could they do it twice?!

I'm sure people won't worry about it being in there more than once. Does the ad say anything about wrong phone number?

i know when i was looking through the horse ads the wrong photo was obviosly(sp) put with the wrong ad ... read "14hh grey connie mare" and the photo was a large coloured sport horse type next issue same photo and different ad

Dear Rainbowrider

Please accept our apologies once again for the error in your magazine advert. We do our best to ensure that all adverts are published as accurately as possible, but on the odd occasion errors do slip through, especially on a busy press day. We understand the frustration you must be feeling at the current time and hope that the full compensation we have offered will go someway towards alleviating this. Anyone who feels aggrevied about an advert they have placed with Horse & Hound is welcome to contact us directly as it is not appropriate to discuss individual cases on a public forum.

Kind regards
