Every spring H&H publishes three special issues dedicated to the forthcoming competition season, which are known as the show numbers. We would like to know what it is about the show numbers that you enjoy most/find most useful. Please vote in our poll and make your comments below.

Have ticked two which may not work. Really like the features on competitors, whether top pros or amateurs or who-ever, particularly behind the scenes/info/etc.

Years ago, the show numbers were "the resource" for shows but personally now that I mainly compete one discipline affiliated their website is my resource though I do still like looking at the boxed adverts in case there is a good show which whilst not running our particular class may be good to attend or to go to spectate if another discipline.

I preferred it when it was simply in date of show order/alphabetical order rather than regional.

Love all the special features in the show numbers - there is always much more to read. I appreciate you can't churn out that number of features weekly as the norm though, don't worry!
How about an article on the organisation behind a major equestrian event? Some of the different set-ups, i.e. event management company / volunteer committee / land-owning estate owned and managed / BHS or BRC managed / etc?

I always enjoy the chance to read more in-depth features on riders/shows etc. I generally consider the Show numbers, in terms of show dates/listings to be more of a resource for showing than other disciplines though.

I like the normal bits...

However, I dislike the whole issue as these are the ones when the price seems to go up, if I remember correctly :p

I like the competitors behind the scenes sections.

I tend to go online for my dates now as I dont really plan a whole summer as horses are so un predictable. But I can see it is useful for County Show competitiors/ those who plan their seasons.

I like the regular content. The show lists hardly feature shows in Scotland, so I consider them to be fairly useless to me and consequently tend to ignore them and get my dates from online.

The 3 show issues are the ones I never miss (I'm more of an occasional buyer at other times). Love the features on the different disciplines and the adverts for the shows.
