Ive just had a read of the article. He sounds like a nice sort, not my cup of tea but each to his own. Dont like the photo shopped pics TBH. Much prefer to see original pictures.
Are there any pics of him head on? would be interested to see his lower limb conformation.
I remember seeing him at Nationals 2 years ago but dont think he has been shown this year, wonder why?
How is he an International Champion?
It will be interesting to see his babies.
Thank you Mistletoe! How nice to come on here and see this - very cheering!
Hattie I know what you mean about 'photoshopped' backgrounds, but Paula the nice lady who runs AL wanted to do a winter/Christmas theme, and I did think it looked rather pretty. I do use unaltered backgrounds in other ads, so I felt it was OK to have a bit of fun for Christmas!
He is an international champion because he has won championships at international shows. He wasn't champion at Towerlands, I'm afraid, but he tied for 1st place on points at this show (an A-class show, the highest international level) - and won a Gold Medal with a score of 91.3 (out of 100). He was also Reserve Best 2yo colt at the National Championships in 2006.
I don't think I have a head-on photo showing his lower limbs, but I will try to find or take one for you. He has very correct conformation, though - I chose him as much for this as for his pretty face!
But I do realize this sort of horse isn't everyone's cup of tea - that's fine; life would be very dull if we all had exactly the same tastes.

Hattie, didn't he win at Towerlands? That would explain that one. Maybe he hasn't been shown due to stud duties
I'm sure Kate will explain the rest...

I forgot to say that yes, he was not shown this year because he had an unexpectedly large number of mares in his first season, and his stud duties had to take priority.
Next season looks like being even busier, so I'm not sure if we will be able to show him - but I'm more interested in getting him backed and started under saddle. And of course his first babies will soon be out representing him in the show ring...
Thanks for the reply. I will look out for him next year if he is shown. If you continue to have AI only collected from Twemlows then there is no reason not to show him to us, after all he has not covered naturally so wont be loosing condition. Dont worry there are loads of horses covering many more mares and naturally that are still shown. Im sure he will be fine.
How many mares are in foal to him for this year?
