OH wouldnt mind a hack for a few country ambles - he’s pretty novice but not nervous, though I wouldn’t want him on anything that won’t accept he’s a beginner. 12ish st and 5ft 11. He looks big on my more petite 15.1 Connie cross. I’ve kept an eye out for ages, been too slow or reluctant to buy unseen a few times. Seen a couple now - one a v chunky gelding cob approx 15h. With horses turned out and viewings allowed timing for another feels right. We’ll view this one but anyone fancy a bit of shopping by proxy and finding some contenders? We’re in Midlands and closer easier- want a nice easy all rounder that would help OH learn, eventually do some fun rides and pop some small jumps. Colour, breed, sex not that important- he doesn’t want a horse smaller than mine though. Budget is max of 7k. Thank you in advance.

Have you contacted Janet George.... she's in the midlands and has a few Irish Draughts that might fit the bill.....

Have posted screenshots of the adverts, there are a couple of HorseQuest that could fit the bill?

ETA: We cross posted Squeak - great minds think alike! (I really like the gelding in the West mids, looks an honest type)

Thanks all - I’ve messaged the seller for the gelding in the east mids. Bigger but ticks the boxes. Others are too far. There just isn’t a lot out there in that bracket even for that money.

He does - think a lot are prepared to go off video but just need oh to see him and have a sit to see if he feels right. I don’t like sharing dealer vids for comment but if you search for a blue/white with name Joey you might find him!

He’s gone - bought off video. It’s mad out there at minute. They have a mare tiny bit bigger but v similar type - ex riding school, she’s a little steadier so you need to ride quite positively. Might be harder work for a novice to master?!
