Probably been done to death before, but I'll ask any way. :)
I am thinking of changing to a hackamore and was wondering if they come in XXL (not a small nose :o) or are they simply adjustable to fit any horse.
I have seen them in pony, cob and full but not any bigger.
Thanks for reading.

The best place to start is ebay, as there are loads on there. :)

I ride in an English hackamore and absolutely love it. Good luck.

Edit - Shy's hackamore is fully adjustable, so it will fit a huge range of horses.

I think size wise yes, but because the german hackamore has much longer shanks (and often a thinner noseband) it is (can be) much more severe. I have a very strong cob, and the English will stop him on a dime.

I would start very gentle - if you have poor brakes, you can use an English hackamore with a chain added under the chin groove - you should need nothing more than that.

The german Hackamore is a different beast altogether. If you don't know about them, you really shouldn't be considering them ;)

They are highly adjustable. I have a nearly new black Mark Todd one for sale... And I have it and a measuring tape in my living room so could adjust to the max and measure it for you :D

"This goes up to about 24" that was measured on the inside, 34" is nearly 3ft"

Just measured his nose and it was 34" so it looks like I won't be able to use one. :-(

I'm sure you can. Either get a saddler to stitch some extra leather on to the straps on one, or buy some hackamore shanks and make one up. They are very simple really :)
