Right - decided to splash out on a new hacking jacket as I'm pretty sure the one I have, I've owned for around 20 yrs and I think it may have been a second hand/third hand buy from PC sale

lol

Recommendations please!!

Id like to spend up to £200 - something that looks nice and fitted though. A few I've tried (I think Caldene) ones sort of hung off me

Any particular makes that are best?

Yeh I like the MEars ones.

Well prob mainly be used to showing for work (I'm borrwoing my boss's at the mo as mine's so awfully old!)

Well done on Sunday BTW - Bruce looks like he enjoyed it

If anyone knows the actual make of the green jacket in the link I posted, I'd love to know.

ChocolateLog, I think it's the same as the one in your pictures of Brucey when you said the photographer really liked him because there were so many pictures! If that makes any sense at all - probably not.

Oh drat. I've been searching high and low for it in the stores to check sizing!

I would definately go for an Alexander James - I have had them for years and the are the best fitting jackets I have ever bought. If you are at Hickstead in June/July Im sure they will be there and they normally have a good selection with them, or you can order one. Not sure what/if their website is, but worth "googling" them

I love my pikeur hacking jacket, it's really flattering. It has a nice fit, I tried a caldene too but it wasn't as flattering. Love the blue check on it too.

I love my Alexander James - got one that is in like brand new condition off e-bay for £60 - think no one wanted it as the arms had been shorted which was great for me.

I also have the Caldene Hickstead - nice jacket but I do prefer the Alexander James.

OH has promised me a made to measure AJ when we go to HOYS this year for my christmas and birthday pressie.
