Hacking motivation

[Chestnut mare]

How do you keep your horses work load varied, interesting, help fitten up and loose weight with no access to a school?
I hack my mare every other day she is very lazy and is hard to get going! We are both really bored and have lost our motivation.
We have a school locally to hire but as it's deep through no rain I don't want to risk it with my mares previous tendon injury.
Help inspire me.........

No advice Im afraid, Im the opposite!! Me and my mare both get bored in the school, but once we get out she soon wakes up
Mind you we have miles of dartmoor to explore so will never get bored or tire of that

I am very lucky in that my horse turns his hoof to a lot of stuff, plus I have transport, so there is always something for us to do.

Do you make your mare work on a hack? I don't mean school her necessarily, just keep her really going forward. I find that if horses are in a schlep along mood, they will do so if you allow them and bore themselves stiff. If you liven her up a bit she may get interested! How many routes do you have?

Skewby- she's very lazy and just goes to sleep she's so dead to the leg and if u kick her on she grunts walks on for 1 stride and settles back to a plod.....
Trot and canter work she's much better and is very forward going .
We have good hacking but hacking every other day we end up doing the routes very regularly.
