hacking or schooling?

ok so im going to ride today but i know its hot already what should i do?
hacking or dressage/schooling

hacking she'd do more work

but schooling i guess she'd be hot in the school?
cant ride later as im gonig out with family

For years I had no school so used to school whilst I hacked, so I'd hack and school together.

We are hacking. Far too hot here for schooling plus the ground is very hard if you have no school. Mind you if you have an indoor with a nice surface, thats where I would be!!!!!

I would hack and do some schooling if you can get off road.

Saying that though, I'm waiting to go to dressage. My times are 12.36 and 12.44, poor boy, but at least I wil have him off the trailer once and will be bringing him straight home.

I'm going SJ schooling later (thank god it's on a surface!) but very exposed there so will be horribly hot

I'd hack, I can never be bothered to school in this sort of weather! x

Out of interest what things did you do to hack and school together?

i do this, but have lots of quiet roads around with prety much no traffic, i leg yeild across the road. rein back a few steps at a junction before going forward. on the beach medium and collected trot and the same in canter. few turns on the forehand doing gates etc, just impravise (sp?)

Jazz freaks out in the school (due to repeated bad experiences) so I have to school and hack at the same time.

However, I am going to take him in the school this afternoon to see how he goes in an arena before I do a dressage test on his tomorrow, in an arena!!!
