Does anyone know what this is like?? Picked up a schedule for the HT in a few weeks but not sure whether to go. I think I went to this one a long time ago and remember it to be a very 'traditional' HT.
It's nice. A lot of time is spent on sorting the course out, and with it's one or two small hills, makes for good riding. The venue itself is lovely! Your typical 'Country Park' type place!
Worth a go I reckon, and I'm elsewhere on the days they have them, usually put on by the Burton PC, but other clubs do go there as well.
Its a really nice course, got some quite challenging corners and skinnies in the 3ft and above. Ground isn't the best if it rains but at as it stands i'm sure it'll be fine
They do put a lot of time and effort into building the course and making the day run as smoothly as possible and they will really appreciate all the nice comments.
If any of you do go to the hunter trial, I'd appreciate it if you could get photos of each fence whilst walking the course to go on: www.facebook.com/unaffiliatedxccoursephotos
Or BuckingHorse - if you pass it on to the organisers and they'd like to send me the photos, it's proving to be quite good advertising for well-built courses
Lovely course- nice mix of fences but the 3ft and above can get a bit tricky. I think it's the coffin that tends to trick many due a bit of a hump in the ground. Sadly I won't be going this year due to rising fuel costs and the fact that my baby pony will probably not make the journey worthwhile! Have fun and post back with how you got on
