I was looking through a bunch of photos that I found in a drawer and I found the last picture that was taken of my first horse before he was PTS.

It got me thinking and I realised that it's been almost 5 years - I can barely remember him, which is really sad considering how much he taught me :(

I have so few pictures of me riding him compared to my new boy - I had 5 years with him and there's only about 15 pictures so I thought, as his 5th anniversary is coming up, that I'd make a short video:

He is gorgeous. How long did you have him for?

I miss my first so badly, and he has now been gone 11years. It jas never got any easier. I know what you mean when u say you hardly remember him. I was only 12 when my first was PTS so my memories of him are quite vague, but at the time I put together a book of stories and photos of him. xxx

I had him for five years - he was the first horse I viewed and he came home with us the next week.
I was 13 when I got him and didn't get the chance to say goodbye as I was out of the country when he went down with colic.
it's a shame he didn't recover - we were going to gift him to the RDA if he wasnt able to come back into work as before.

I'll have to dig through my parents house before they move - hopefully they have some more pictures hiding in drawers

the photos were taken at jebel Ali equestrian centre in dubai.
the parentals still live out there but dad moved his horse to another yard.
I guess it made moving away for uni a bit easier - there's no way I would have trusted anyone to look after him
imagine if they made him go better - I would have been really annoyed :p
bit silly to be getting upset all over again really :p
