I've had a good day - Pulled Ron's mane so he no longer looks quite so much like a hairy bog pony, trimmed his beard so he looks less like a billy goat, practiced our dressage for next weekend, mucked out. Razzed about on the new quad helping Dad move some of the timber from two fallen trees that's he's split, stacked it by the house ready for the winter, walked the dog, went for a run, and now I'm cooking beef wellington for OH :):). Only downer is that Tom is still lame :(

I've had a fab day! Rode my new beast for the first time since he came home on Wednesday and he was a star! Even managed to ride in the sunshine!
 
I had a lesson - only my third one with new trainer - really enjoyed it and she said we were very much improved. She also said 'have you ever jumped' - I said not and she said 'well your going to today' - not pretty - but I had a fab lesson - to say i am ecstatic is an understatement! Its feels just great to actually be enjoying lessons cause I never have before.
 
Long lined my new boy, because he doesn't have a saddle yet. He was a star.

Then took Lui for a two hour hack, which was nice, just a long mooch along the cycleway, only slightly marred by a mouthful of abuse from a cyclist, even though we have as much right as them to be there, illustrated by all the instruction signs along the path!
 
Yes. We went today to friend's farm to choose 3 new 'pet lambs'. They've had 13 to hand-rear for various reasons this year and we like to have a few sheep to keep the land sweet. They are being delivered next week. We spent the afternoon chatting about various horsey matters, while waiting for her son to deliver a bull to another farm.
 
No, frankly. I'm worried the dog will never accept the puppies and I cried about Jake. It's not that I don't want the pups, but I'd rather have Jake back.:(
 
Yes - too scared normally. I have sort of trotted over things on a fun ride if very very small ) with a lead but this was in a school over show jumps which I have never every done before - got no idea what I am doing and neither has my horse. She even put a small straight bar up which looked quite bit go me but we did it - even if with very little style - very bigleaning curve for both of us as she said he has no idea what to do with his legs. Can't wait to try it again.
 
I've had a long and busy day but it's been really fun. Was Groom for a friend at a county show, managed to stay relatively dry and the ponies all went well :D

Rode the grey baby [who's now having his first jumpies!!!] and he absolutely floated today :D So pleased.

:(:( ((((hugs)))) it's normal, just give yourself time to grieve hun, I'm sure the pups and the dog will settle down in time, they're probably just picking up on you being unsettled too.

well glad you all had a good day. I had the forst day off yard in months as friend offered to see to ned. I have been on sofa all day feeling rotten. Got up at lunch time to walk dog then had to go lie down again. had dinner and walked dog again.
Not happy as I was supposed to be at a 'sex and the city' themed hen do in Edinburgh!
What a waste of a day. Now on bed with lap top, dog, son watching x factor!!
