Well this afternoon I went out for a hack and had a great time. But just as I was around 40 paces from the yard entrance I saw a man walking in the field next door. So I kindly shouted out 'there is a man in the field' hoping he would hear us and say something back so my horse didnt get a scare. As you can tell he never said anything and according to horse he appeared from inside the trees on the roadside and she jumped sideways to get a better look. I then out the corner of my eye saw a car coming down the road. And before I knew what was happening the car was heading for us and I began to think it was the end. As the car was around 30 cms away from horses legs I turned my head away and closed my eyes waiting for it to hit us. But it never happened. My lovely mare managed to pull the most amazing shape ever and bent her body around the car and cantered off sideways down the road.
I couldnt believe it and took horse home. She was mildly lame for a little while but when I went to being her in she seemed better. So hoping she not too stiff in the morning.

Just had to post this as I can hardly believe it and well done to you all that have got this far and wine and chocolates all round.

OMG how awful, such a close escape, well done both of you, so glad you're both in one piece - big glass of wine for you and hugs to both x

Yeah I think the car driver got a shock but least they will be slightly more cautious on the road.
I'm fine but looks like horse has tweaked something as she lame this morning. So got advice from vet and she on danilon for 4 days and then will recheck her over. But the important thing is that we are both ok.
