Basically I had a sh itty day, work was fab and I got so many things done that I had been waiting ages to finalise (due to other people) then I find out that a complaint (and a pretty big one) is being made against work involving me and someone else. This is fine because I ran what I was going to do past my line manager before I did it and asked whether it was ok, I was told it was, twice. Today, she tried to use me as a scapegoat saying that she didn't ok what I did, didn't know about/read the letter that was sent etc... she is completely trying to stuff me. She also tried to discuss it in front of other colleagues and told me she was only half listening to me when we discussed the issue... Like that was down to me to know!!! My boss was supportive, but the fact that this woman is trying to use me as a scapegoat really riled me. I desperately needed a huge horsey hug by te time I got to the yard.
When I turn up in the morning Eb's neighs at me in greeting to be let out, when I turn up at night she will sometimes do the same to be brought in, but in all my years of owning her I have never walked into the stable and had her pick her head out of her feed bown look at me and neigh (a low down, quiet neigh). It meant so much to me and I just snuggled my face into her neck and stayed there, arms around her. When I left the yard I felt so much better.
While I was there it made me think of 2 threads on here:
The 'love in a picture' or whatever its called thread... that was my 'love' moment
and all the 'why do we do it/keep them/are we mad?' posts... and I thought THAT is why we keep them, because despite it looking from the outside like we are mad as a hatter, it is our horse that we turn to, that actually keep us sane and make the 'mess' go away.
A lovely squish post for you all, feel free to post about your 'tender moments' or not
