I've had the crappest 2 weeks ever, so far!

My horse leant over a fence and made it fall over. He managed to cut himself across the chest and legs and some how his back legs too, he had/has a swollen hock on his back leg from whatever happened! so got the vet out, was given anit biotics which he refused to eat!

so I moved them into another field, whilst waiting for the fencing to be fixed and my mare got colic yesterday, so had the vet out again! she's okay now, she does it every summer but its never anything more than needed an anti spasmodic injection! but also she has a loose shoe, can't get hold of my farrier and I've just seen its hanging on by one nail and her hoof looks like its going to be really broken when it does come off!

and then I noticed that my boy has cut himself again on his front leg! I just feel like crying!

I've ordered a load of electric fencing so I can put it against the fences to keep them away from it! but I don't even know if thats how he done it! he could have been kicked this time! gerrr

Slap - Although you probably don't feel like it could it could be so much worse. I hope your horses are well soon

I have just posted on a thread about someone whose son has testicular cancer. My OH had this when he was 27 and has just had a primary bone cancer removed. Fortunately my horse is well.
