Had my Horse Communication Sesh last night...

After the snotty reply I had to my email I am happy to say that it was Jackie Weaver who disappointed me with a vage and at times totally incorrect reading of Frecks.

I told that he had come from abroad and she said 'Switzerland' (hes Polish) and when I told her it was actually Poland she then said... 'perhaps you have to come through switzerland to get to GB'!!!!! Total shockers (there were many) like that sum up why I thought it was a total heap of crumbly biscuit! :D

I used Anne Towill and will do again. :)

That's good to hear, I had booked a reading with her for my old horse, but he sadly died just before the appointment. She returned my cheque straight away. She isn't expensive.

When I get round to it I will have her do a reading for my current boy.

Aw that's a shame! She was spot on with J. Even managed to stop him from chasing the dogs at the yard (he thought it was such a fun game!). She told me things that really spooked me out.
I can't believe she got snotty, she seemed so nice! She says she offers refunds if your not happy?
Oh well, I guess you win some and lose some!

I used her too after recommendation on here. Same result, the stuff that was correct was for the most part pretty generic (15yo TB with some stiffness due to wear and tear...), but I was actually impressed by how much she got wrong - statistically she should have accidentally got some of it right, it was a 50/50 shot!!

What really annoyed me was that she told me my horse 'said' he might need a joint supplement like Cortaflex (which she named) and that I should just hack him, not school him. I schooled him yesterday and he didn't buck me off for not listening to him so I guess we're okay... The things I thought would really have confirmed it was my horse - he's opinionated, he used to hate hacking, he used to nap (and occasionally still does), he's the planet's sloppiest showjumper etc - didn't come up at all.

The problem is the things you're told at the start to 'prove' it's your horse could be true, and if it's really your horse talking you're in an awkward position because maybe my horse does think he's a gent and he aims to please, just because I disagree doesn't mean it's not him...!

I saw the Derren Brown show about mediums and there were two things he said which I kept noticing - one was use of 'I can only tell you what he's telling me, I don't know what he means but I can only say what I hear' (LOADS of that, every time I questioned something), and the other was reference to things I wouldn't know for sure till I got off the phone ('You'll have to confirm this with xxx'). Oh and she saw the number 6, in relation to how long he'd had stiffness problems for. Her first guess was 6 months but I heard her say 6 weeks as I was confirming 6 months. I don't know about everyone else but I was raised on the 'rule of 6', that a lameness will last either 6 days, 6 months or 6 weeks. I bet a lot of people on here could relate the rule of 6 to their own horses...

I heard this A LOT!!

use of 'I can only tell you what he's telling me, I don't know what he means but I can only say what I hear' (LOADS of that, every time I questioned something) SAME HERE!!

Oh how familar a lot of that sounds!!!

Would agree with comments on Jackie Weaver - couldn't understand how she could be so vague and yet get so much wrong! Nothing remotely applicable to my pony.
Almost burst out laughing when she said "but you are not telling me much". I though she was supposed to be telling me things!

I had one done from a photo for my horse, it's was really funny!

Apparently he travelled a long distance across the sea....well he's an Irish horse, with an Irish name and living in North Wales so pretty safe to assume at some point he came across the sea!! He thought I was weak and wanted me to assert myself...he's and Irish Cob of course I'm weak he's half a tonne of attitude and muscle!!! He hated the 'loud' woman that would try to catch him in the field..he much preferred me who was quiet and gentle in my handling...ummmm I AM the loud woman who comes into his field, the quiet and gentle one was the field owner who he would run at and try to bowl over so she would drop all the feed buckets and run off crying!!!

He loved hacking out (he naps like a insane napping thing and trys to sit on cars to avoid going forwards), he is indifferent to the beach (he goes into over drive when he hits sand and cannot contain himself...we always end up flat out gallop resulting in him piling into the sea and totally soaking me!!), he loves other horses company (he can take or leave horses..put a section a in with him and he becomes mother earth and will fawn all over it).

So basically it was rubbish.

Although had a free one done by a lovely lady on a rescue dog site and her's was shockingly accurate, told me of the abuse one of my dogs had recieved that no one other than the rescue center and police would know. Even knew the person responsible was jailed (for other crimes not the cruelty) and what he had been done for. She gave me shivers.

I knew it! Had JW read mine too a few months ago but didn't post on here as was so far off the mark and I know she is a member on here and has come on to defend AC's on other posts on here.

I felt embarrassed to be saying "I don't get that" or "that's not right" so many times but her only comeback was that she could only tell me what horse was telling her and the horse didn't want to talk!

But, as you say, she came across as a really nice person but no refund was offered.

Hate to name and shame but I researched this a lot and hers was the name that was recommended time and time again - shame.

This one came VERY highly recommended off here :(

Could you possibly PM me the name, I was reading on here a couple of weeks ago and decided I would try it with my mare, just for fun and interest. The person I was going to get to do it was very highly reccomended on here, but I won't bother if it is the same one. Also, couldn't see how much she charged so if you anyone could give me an idea of cost, if will help me decide if i will bother or not.

Cheers,

Well then, that saves me some cash to spend on shoes (for me :) ) Thank you! :D:D

Sorry you had such a bum deal

I had a woman called Ann Dee from Scotland to one of my ponies who had been ill for some time. I wanted to know if he had had enough. She went through a lot of generic stuff which could have been anyones animal. But what told me it was a lot of old whatsit was when she told me he loved doing pony club games and hoped to again. I have owned this pony since he was three, broken at four and has never done PC games in his chuff!!
Save your money folks!

Whilst I am very glad I came on here and saw this, and I am sure my wallet is very glad too, I have to say, I am slightly bemused by the fact that I open one 'Communicator' thread and everyone on there is spouting what a miraculous 'oracle' this woman is and how she could not possibly have known some of the things that happened to poor little 'dobbin' and how specific she was. Then you I open this one and out come all the unsatisfied JW customers, I never saw you guys on the other thread. I think we have become too afraid to voice our opinions on here when they are against the general opinion of the thread, just incase we get accused of stirring for the sake of stirring.

I am really glad to have found this out before I picked up the phone and booked her (and people there is nothing wrong with my mare, I was just interested, following the rave reviews on here a few weeks ago), but I just wish some people would speak up earlier... now I feel a bit of a tit for even considering it :D

It sounds like several of us on here booked our sessions on the back of the last thread, maybe she's just got a bad connection this week ;)

I agree with you QB.

If you still fancy having a reading with an AC, try Ann Towill, she charges less than half what most other ACs charge and not a bad word has been said about her on here.

I've had two readings done by JW and they have been spot on both times. She told me stuff no one else would ever know - apart from my horse ;)

I just hate it when people do things for a good reason, that to them is justified and then get ripped off and taken for a ride (s'cuse the pun!)

I mean for me, if I ever decided to do it with Eb's it is because I have had her for 10 yrs, and before that she had one other owner after she was sold as a foal. She is a right diva and has a heart of gold, she has really settled in the last few years and I don't think I could ever be more proud of her, I just thought that it would be a bit of 'something special' and a sort of treat. I would hate to think how I would feel if I was looking into it because something was wrong with my horse and I had such a vague outcome for my hard earnt cash and I would be angry as hell and royally screwed. Thank god, I had to wait till payday which was today or I would have been really displeased!

Marmalade: If I ever do decide to treat myself I will look the AC you recommended, but since I am just doing it more to induldge myself than anything, I think I will hold off on going down that road for now. I kind of feel a bit had for even considering it now, and I am no major sceptic, I believe in Reiki, and Natural Healing, I have seen it happen, I couldn't get near ebony, and when I did she would buck and bolt as I got on. This woman came and just put her hands on her and pulled her tail. I thought, well there is a waste of £50 quid, thank god I didn't pay £100 for that cr ap. I got on a week later and we never looked back, there is no *swear wording* way that this woman was a fraud she completely fixed my mare, who was ruined for months before. So I do believe in this kind of stuff that we can't understand or explain, but I kind of don't have the faith to do it now :(

* boo-hiss to frauds*

Yeah, same here, that's why I would not pay £50 +, but would be happy to chance £25, which is what AT charges.

ETA AT does Reiki too :)

I had a communication done with my horse by JW and I was impressed - it was very accurate for me.
She picked up my horse being in pain and pin pointed an old injury, which I was unaware of at the time. He told her he finds ridden work too difficult.
We have had many issues with him and he is at Newmarket currently being investigated for lameness in the area she said. She picked up he had been abused. She was quite emotional for him. He was very adamant that he is not a problem horse or a naughty horse, which was funny at the time because he was just so aggressive. He even quoted that he 'doesnt charge at me in the paddock' and that he is good to shoe and box as justification that he is not a problem horse.
I was able at the end to tell him some things - like the regret of one of his owners to let him get abused (a long story) and JW got quite emotional as my horse did as he was so relieved that she had cared. Very soon following the communication my horse did a 360 degree change in attitude. He just started trusting overnight - he is loving and attentive and no longer threatens or bites kicks and strikes. I am not saying that the communication was the complete factor, but it damned well helped I am absolutely sure.
JW recommended a calmer she didnt even know of herself but the name came to her and shiatsu for my horse. I started with the calmer and the shiatsu lady started crying the minute she touched my horse due to his sad past and the fact he is in such great pain.
After that I did a pain trial with Danilon via my vet and bingo - he was in pain. He is as I said now in Newmarket.

I can't thank JW enough - she has really really helped me. This horse nearly drove me insane with his aggression. My husband just wanted him pts - I couldn't discuss with anyone what I was going through because I just knew there was something wrong and I needed to find it. Friends thought and probably still think I am mad, but he is worth it and he hasn't killed or injured me in the process of getting sorted out.

I too had a telecom with Jackie Weaver yesterday, it was something I had been considering for along time.

Horse not lame but has some issue with right hind. Leg sometimes appears to give way slightly, like he has slipped a little. He is also awkward with the farrier, not so much on that leg but the opposite hind. Farrier thinks he's taking the p*** but I have been convinced it's related to the right hind.

I obviously do not mention this but the first thing Jackie says is that he has a problem with his right hip/sacro-iliac region:eek: Throughout the conversation, she says he keeps bringing her back to his right hip. He says he's not hurting but it's 'almost like what a horse is like if he slipped' (his words)

I have a physio coming on Monday.

He has previously been quite aggressive to a baby I once put out with him. He told JW that he is not a bully. She told me he said that I should say to him to be nice or I would be sorely disappointed in him.

As I turned him out afterwards in with 2 youngsters, I said this to him. I was amazed as he just grazed quietly with them and showed no hostility.

JW also gave me something that he suggested I say to him in order to sort a tacking up issue I have been having. Haven't tried that yet, will let you know.

My friend had one done many years ago via photo over the phone. She had just bought her horse and he had many issues. Anyway she wanted to know his past and how he felt but she actually went on a forum and was asking for advice and then this woman said she could help and did the reading for her. My friend wrote everything down etc. and then over the next few weeks my friend managed to trace his owners from when he was born and then another owner inbetween. Anyway what the communicator had said was not correct and she felt she had been had. She only wanted to help the horse.

She said things to me that I doubt you heard.. Unless you say to your horse 'careful! Slippery!' in a sing song voice going down the road too?
I thought she was good, there was 2 things she said that didn't make sense and I told her so, one was the number 5?? Eh that didn't mean anything.
She really helped us with lots of things though and when I went to see J after he was really really affectionate even more then usual.
I *know* she connected with him somehow, v odd. But then I've seen a ghost, I dream things before they happen and I've been able to feel my grandma who sadly passed away with me sometimes. So I am one of those odd? People who believe in random, unexplained things :D. Maybe what she did is codswallop but to me it made sense and I was happy to pay the money. I would probably do it again but I actually think it's a powerful tool not too be taken lightly.
I told JW about the spinning out hacking and she said it was just a baby reactive thing (predictable answer), she told Jae that if he span he could slip and scare himself even more and that he should stop and look.
He very very rarely spins now, infect after that conversation he didn't do it for 6 months! Thing is now he stops and won't move sometimes lol.
It's like church I suppose to some people it works and some it doesn't. Shame it didn't work for you but I do think it's wrong she didn't give you a refund, at least you will know not to waste your money on it again! I had a friend at the yard who did it and she wasn't very impressed either. Maybe J and I are just an open book! :)

People pay for this kind of thing?

Cool I can see a new business here.

I will tell everyone "I want to live in a field and eat grass" and they will give me money for it.

Obviously I will have to tell people a bit more than that, but that will be the best bit.

Off to e-bay now so that I can plan how to spend all the money I will get.
