I am so sorry for your tragic loss, allow yourself plenty of time to grieve and to come to terms with this. It never gets any easier, but understand that your lovely mare knew how important and loved she was in your life. The one thing which helps me to accept losing a loved horse is that I feel they are only on loan to me from upstairs (if that makes sense) and have gone home to their rightful owner.

Sending famous HHO healing vibes to you and your family.

OMG - I didn't see your previous posts but my heart goes out to you. You must be heartbroken. I think there's a petition somewhere saying that dealers should be registered and I agree! If she already had the eye condition and this guy knew he should be ashamed of himself. He's obvioulsy not an animal lover. Did you have her vetted prior to purchase?

I am back after a little lay down....cant rest for long and i dont expect i'll sleep either. No i didnt get her vetted, kinda trusted him.....silly me! To be fair when i went to trading standards about it they said that as hes a dealer you stand more of a chance not getting an animal vetted, as if a vet missed something then you wouldnt have a leg to stand on. I agree with what tiffany said about dealers being registered. They seem to be heartless bastards and i hope he one day feels how i am feeling right now!x

Poor poor you.
I am sorry i have missed your other posts. This is a very sad story

I know what it like to lose a trusted friend, it hurts like hell. ((((big hugs)))) you did the right thing for your little mare.
She was ready to go, but it's sad for you hun.
Think of all the precious times you shared together. One day i promise, you will look back and smile when you remember her. Not a day goes by that i don't catch myself thinking of my lad, but now i remember him without shedding the tears.

I hope you win this against the man who sold you this horse. At least she was lucky enough to find you

RIP little horse xxxx

I am so very sorry too and sending you big hugs. What an awful thing to go through. At least you gave her all your love and did the right thing, she could have ended up anywhere.

You did everything that you could and there is nothing more you can do now. Just look after yourself.

p.s that remark by pedantic is part of his siggy and not aimed at you

This is so Heartbreaking.

I know exactly how you feel having to lose a horse.

I had my 1st horse put to sleep a few months ago, I was fortuante to have had the priviledge of caring for her for 18years.

Not a day goes by that I don't think about her. But I know Horsey Heaven has got another star and she is up there watching down on me.
