Pretty much as I said my boy had both hocks injected 5 days ago. Today he looks more lame in one of the legs, can this happen worse before better?

If he seems worse tomorrow then before jabs I would call the vet as it could be serious so at least have a chat with the vet . After losing a horse that had a joint injection I was very anti them but current old lady has been given extra life because of them but I will say it took a while to see the full benefit but she was never worse.

Absolutely this. If no improvement this morning, please call vet to discuss.
Like hobo, I too lost one after having both hocks done, to add, it's quite rare though.
Hope its something minor though.

Im sure five days is the 'optimum time' for joint infection following joint injections. I can remember being told that by my vet. I was suprised as i thought reactions would be quicker.

I think that's for septic arthritis though which is what they thought i had at A&E from a fall on my knee four or five days prior so would make sense.

Glad your horse is ok now.
