Took my 6yr old to his first ever outing today which was a 10 mile fun ride. He was a little super star really couldn't fault him. Only jumped the smaller jumps as it was all new so wanted to keep it calm, although we was going through a field when my friend told me to jump this jump as it was only 2ft3 so I thought ok until I went over it & it was about 2ft9 
, but I must say he jumped the bigger ones better than the small ones.
So things were going well getting towards the end when a group decided to come charging past us on a very stoney track, which set my friends horse of & she ended up taking off behind them, but as it was so stoney I managed to keep Murphy in a steady collected canter.
As we turned the corner this group stormed of down this hill which was such deep mud & as my boy is still a little unbalanced going down hill I wanted to walk down slowly which ended up in him panicing that he was getting left behind he sunk into the deepest bit of mud which caused him to loose his balance he fell over I rolled of the side & he ended up laying next to me, but he just got up & stood next to me while I got back on my feet. We were both fine although my did tear my saddle a little
, but I got back on & made it to the end although after the fall he was a little wound up & nervous going down the rest.
Apart from the fall we had a fab day.
