Had the dentist out today.....

.....and got a proper look at my new pony's teeth. They are very odd! She has a sort of circular depression which covers the top and bottom of her front teeth. She doesn't crib bite or windsuck and the dentist thinks that it has been caused by grazing on stony ground or maybe eating lichens off stone walls.

She was a very good girl and stood nicely even when the dentist used power tools. I felt very pleased with her and her teeth are all lovely and smooth now. The dentist let me put my hand into her mouth before and after he had worked on her. There's nothing he can do about her front teeth but they are not troubling her.
 
Our first pony had this.... I asked if he cribbed and was told that he had been kept on poor grazing to keep his weight down, therefore he had worn the teeth down on the stoney ground. Poor Robin... he was only five
