Had the vet today, and I only just survived!

After some intense treatment this summer my gelding has decided vets are trying to kill us all. He used to be no problem at all, now we have full on rearing and backing up at speed. Twitching sends him catatonic and sedalin only worked once. He won't touch the stuff now. I can't get anything into him that looks like a wormer other than in a bucket so domisedan is out.

We got his latest vacc into him by surprising him, but he wouldn't let the vet near the cut under his eye that he had happened to come in with. I'm now dreading the day he next needs to be sedated. I honestly don't know what to do. He happily lets me do anything to him so imitating the injection isn't going to work. I wish I could inject him myself!
 
You could try smelling like a vet, like using a bit of hibiscrub and meth spirit on you? Then let 'strangers' armed with treats (smelling like a vet) be around him, then progress to vet smelling strangers imitating jabs?
 
If she's nifty with her legs, could she be hobbled whilst the vet is there? No idea if it would work, but a thought?
