Walking the dogs in the woods as usual, the paths are very wet and muddy at the moment and I slipped a few times but saved myself. Then I had to walk along a reasonably steep and very slippery path downhill...big Ace greyhound was walking right at my heels, which the greyhound boys tend to do whether they are on the lead or not.

So the inevitable happened and I slipped over - but as I came down the back of my head hit Ace’s head! OMG I swear it is pure concrete...I mean I’ve always known he Isn’t the brightest boy bless him, but it really was like hitting my head on a rock!!! I have a headache and a very sore head an hour later, but the best bit is I swear he didn’t actually notice ???

If I’m found dead later of some weird blood clot thing it was Ace, on the dog walk, with his head who dunnit! He got a kiss better and didn’t know what the problem was ?❤️❤️❤️

I am so sorry. I hope your head solves itsef. My family always thought my riding was high risk.
But I too slipped backwards when walking daughter's dog and needed X ray of arm and hand. Very easy in mud.

I assume the dogs are yours. We dont do dog walking duty any more. We are considered a risk to dog and banned by s.i.l. from walking his dog.
Goodness knows what he would say about you biffing yours on the head!

??? I’m quite impressed (if that’s the right word?) that it still aches several hours later.... Ace still doesn’t seems bothered....? Mind you it is hard to tell with him ?

I can assure you that it will hurt for weeks . See my post on the dog related injuries thread.

They have heads like concrete! No idea how, but the other week I bent down and my head collided with that of my Dane x Husky, sort of on the side by my temple. I swear my brain rattled. For about an hour afterwards I had this weird temple pain. Typical me though was more worried that the dog might be having the same!
