Ned's training continued today, as I was asked to lead the ride the whole way.
He put up a fight and we had a bit of a rear, but with a stern voice and leg, he obeyed and went in front.
Everything was fine, we trotted, we cantered and he didn't put a foot wrong, until we saw a van. No big deal. Hidden behind the van was a small flat bed trailer that just so happened to bonce and crash down while level with us. Ned spun, lost his footing and sat with his hid legs and went to his knees on his front legs.
I was deposited on the floor!
Thankfully I wasn't far from the ground and I landed on my bum, so no damage done to me. I jumped to my feet and checked Ned over. No damage there either and he wasn't showing any signs on pain, so I hopped back on and we set off again. YO went in front for a short while, since we wanted to get ourselves together again, but Ned was soon up with her horse, so I took the lead again
No mental damage done either!
Got home and gave him a treat and turned him out
Not fallen off in a while
so I thought I'd share!
