Look! Just look at his huge belly!
Oh dear. I'm going away tonight until Monday as well, so he'll only get bigger I imagine. :/
So we've got the new bit in and it's fantastic! It really is so good. I don't feel like I'm going to suddenly unbalance him by wrenching his head in, and that in turn makes me feel so much safer.
So yeah, update! Took him out yesterday again on his own. We haven't been out on our own in a good week or so? Naturally he was a little scared. He did the whole reversing thing but I stuck it out and stayed in board till he went forwards.
We nearly went over a wall though when he saw his friends in the field, so I had to get off then and walk him away.
We then went all the way up the lane without any issues and got to the gate and then problems arose again. I had to get off because it's always at the gate that he just tries to run home, and if he ditches me then I'm not risking him ending up on the main road. So we got off (and by this time we had an elderly couple watching me and the pony dance
Well, we eventually got past the car and turned to go home. That's when we met the local livery yard owner on her horse. She asked me if I was having problems with the little b****** and I said that yes indeed, I was haha! So we turned away from home again with her horse, and went to stand in the local showground about two minutes down the road (the yard owner rents it out and she had to go collect money). We stood for a good half an hour, and then Sam had to leave his friends and go home all by himself.
Well, I must say it did him the world of good! I hope!
