Mine came wandering into the stable one night with a small 2 metre branch entwined in his tail. It was off the hawthorn so was completely tangled in with spikey bits stabbing my hands...took a loooonnnng time to get out...he did not seem bothered though!
He does the 'side flick' very well in the summer months when he gets his fly fringe over one ear and it sort of dangles over one side of his head like a side fringe!

Not any longer - Chancer's now very long mane and tail are kept bagged up most of the time - before it was a collection of mud, grass, hedgerow and in dreadlocks within the day.

Tail is out in the summer, but the mane bags stop him sweating up - his mane is very thick.
