hair falling out help!

Hi sorry about the headline don't know how else to explain, my horse is going bald round his muzzle and now its getting worse, any ideas?

Mine had a similar hair loss this year. Washed it with T-Gel shampoo from the supermarket and applied sudocrem. Cleared up in a few days.
