Hair Regrowth Around Eyes

I've posted on here before about my mare's allergy where she loses the pigment and hair around her eyes during certain months of the year, well they are just about starting to re-grow now but the re-growth of the hair is very slow, is there anything that is safe to use around the eye area that would help promote re-growth, I seem to remember solid coconut oil being good for hair growth, thanks.

I would urge the utmost caution about putting any over the counter product around the eyes. Products, especially oil based ones, can "bleed" back and into the eyes and if you had cosmetic problems before, that would be nothing compared with the expense and horror of damaged corneas. Even if the product is "safe" rubbed around the eyes, it can pick up dirt from the skin and carry that back into the eyes. Just leave it to nature would be my advice.
