Hairstyle for showing

Hi everyone,

I've been quietly lurking for a while (mostly finding answers and info in old posts) but now I need help please!

I'm entering some in hand classes in a few weeks and wondered about hairstyles. I know I need to have it in a bun but can I do things like have bits of my hair braided? I have a lot of hair and it doesn't suit me all scraped back so wondered if I could neatly braid the sides back and wrap them round/ tuck them into the bun?

It's only a local fun show but I know it's still taken very seriously and want to be properly turned out.

Correct turnout would really include a hat so that limits options a bit. A low bun or hairnet tends to be easiest. Braid the sides if you prefer.

Agree with above its the normal to wear some kind of hat for in hand so you won't see it anyway a low bun that is just visible below the hat is just fine.
