Angel had the trimmer out to do her feet again today. This is the 3rd time she's been, the first time she concentrated on the fronts, the second time she tidied the fronts again and gave the backs a basic trim, and today she came to finish off the backs properly.
Angel was great. When she got a bit tetchy and started pulling her hoof about, we stopped and did a bit of groundwork, back up and circling, then she had a treat and we carried on. It seemed to work, sort of breaking the stress build-up. She had a haynet at all times and was so much better than when we first started. Her fronts are very good to handle now and my non horsey husband can pick them out. Honestly, the relief is huge, I really feel that we can start making progress with everything. Very grateful to have found a sympathetic trimmer who is willing to spend the time teaching the both of us.
Gratuitous pictures of the sweetheart herself. At some point I will start to try and clean the mess that is her tail!
