Hi all, a quick question for all those with hairy cob types!
Our cob was clipped over winter and has a ridiculously thick coat, clip not grown out yet despite it being done before christmas. Although he's shedding his winter coat it doesn't seem as quick as needed and summer seems to have happened over night. He is stabled at night and this morning was rather hot and itchy and cranky. Last night was out first really mild night here in the south!
He was quite happy once out and I have groomed out as much hair as I can today along with thinning and trimming mane and tail but frankly there's still SO much hair.
He's a hairy beast and generally a very warm horse, anyone got any tips to make him more comfortable as temperature only due get far hotter this week! Help me hairy horse owners, he was looking rather fed up poor boy!
