Hairy Yak... before and after!

What difference does it make, he`s rugged accordingly (read the whole post it`s not a childrens book just to look at the pictures!)! One of mine is clipped out, she`s in light work (if you can even call it that), I didnt clip her because it`s pretty I did it because she gets hot whether it`s a quick walk around the block or a run about in the field,

Bloody Hell Ayla - picking up toys and putting them back in her pram - its not even your pony! I don't expect anyone gives a stuff really how much work your horse is in. Personally - I gave mine a blanket clip through the deepest winter but clipped her out hunter style 3 weeks ago because I hate moulting (I can cope with some hairy legs)! Call me lazy if you like but I don't give a stuff and I hate me, my clothes and my car being covered in white hairs!

Ha Ha laughing at people getting worked up on my thread!! :)

Just to clarify... miniatures are shown with a longer bridlepath as it shows more of the neck off. Like arabs are shown really. Its a miniature thing :)
Ive not just clipped him to look pretty :) He spends all winter lazying in the field having a well earned break after the showing season. I have to clip him to asses his body condition ( thats why his head and legs are left on as no need to asses these as yet! ) as this is the time of year i start to bring him back into work and exercise him and i need to ensure i am feeding according to his body weight and asses which body areas need working on. miniature horses are shown clipped all through summer... another miniature thing :) He is worked well, even for a miniature and around April our shows start.

And i can assure everyone he isnt cold :)

Thanks for the clarification, how do you exercise hiim, is it just lunging or do you long line, get a teeny kid to ride him ? just wondering. I used to have a 12.2 so no so teeny but when I got too big for him I just used to long line him where I used to ride him so he got the same exercise. I eventually broke him to drive which he thought was great cos everyone was looking at him, he preferred that to being ridden I reckon.

hello stinky (used to have a Bengal cat with that name) seems your causing trouble again lol , your boy us looking fab as usual , Ive done a body clip on Absolut too and Ive left on the legs keep him warm , hes doing some lunging and I plan to introduce some jumping this week , he needs to firm up that butt (just like me!)

I am always saying this, but credit given where credit is due, he's looking in super condition :) Fabulous little man.:D

I am so looking forwards to seeing reports of his foals (how many due?) and his progress in harness. Mini harness classes are terrifically popular here, are there many classes for them in the UK? Is Tyson broken to harness too? Is he purely a companion, or do you plan to show him too? So nosey.

Tyson? Tyrone, sorry:o

Its Ty :) :)

No he's just a field ornament and companion for inky, keeps him in line! :)

Ty is frightened of his own shadow so would be no good in harness and he's not got the best confirmation to show, but we love him anyway! :)

Sue - not sure how to do the little pics, i did mine ages ago and cant remember!

Thanks everyone else for your kind comments :)
