Half-Chaps and being annoyed that they don't fit...

Ok, am I the only one who thinks that chap sizes are terrible - especially if you have quite muscly calves???

I bought a 16" calf size half chap - one of the largest around - that according to tape measure should fit... but it is way to small!!!

Where can you get half chaps for non-twiglet-like calves that won't cost the world???

Fuller fillies do them but not tremendously cheaply. I have some shires ones that were fairly generous.

I have a pair of shires ones that fit my tree trunks, and also a pair from Totally Chaps, which are a GREAT fit and mega comfy!

Ha!!! I had a Shires one that fitted but has to be dumped soon... and bought another one the same size (16") and they are the ones that all of a sudden don't fit!!!!

I have the Dublin easy care ones, the XL and they fit really well, and you can chuck them in the washing machine, and they come out the same!

I too am a member of the chunky calves brigade!!Mine are 42/43cm and its a bugger finding chaps .Also can anyone reccomend some decent wide fitting long boots.?

I always always have tredstep ones as they come in millions of different sizes. Also they do fit to the actual measurement so don't come big or small.

The English Gaiter Company are also great - they come in a whole range of calf and different lengths - so you can get the perfect fit whether you have long fat legs, short skinny ones, short fat ones, long skinny ones etc etc
