I'm of average weight and proportions. Now I had a look at some half chaps online (Dublin, MT, Equi Theme
), and measured my calf, which came out at a width of 15" (bare) or 16" (corduroy trousers), and the height from the crease line at the back of the knee to the floor was 17", and from knee to centre of ankle bone 13.25", which for some brands means a length of 14.25".
Is that because sizes are mainly for women, who have slimmer calves then us men in average? But even then, I'm over 5'8" and didn't think I had short legs.
I don't mind if the size I need is called "Adonis" or "fat and stout", but I want to go sure I'm not missing anything there.
