Half day beach rides close (ish) to Worcester

Hi All,

For a birthday present I would like to take myself and my friend on a beach ride next Sunday but can't find anyone within a reasonable distance.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. You couldn't be much further inland! If you google Brean beach and/or Berrow beach, which are on the Somerset coast - they both allow riding, and it would be a fairly straightforward run down the M5. Good luck.

Do you mean taking your own horses? Brean is the closest beach I think, about an hour and half away which isn't unfeasible.

Here's a link about riding at Brean, but I dunno if there's any seasonal restrictions or anything like that.

not to take our own (my friends horse is out of action until January at best so this is meant to be a bit of a cheer up!)

doesn't necessarily need to be on a beach could also be a nice trek or something

I'm sure they'd be riding schools at Brean who'd do beach rides, and it would be worth the trip. Me and OH did it a couple of years ago in Cornwall, and it was fab, we galloped up and down the beach a few times and it was a total dream come true. The girl that took us out though said she was envious of us having fields and woods to hack through!
