The thread about K M Peyton reminded me of my love of Half Moon Ranch books by Jenny Oldfield. Curious as to whether anyone else used to read them? To be honest I just ordered another one of her books that I haven't read, yes I unashamedly admitted to that at 19 yo  can't wait for it to arrive! :D

I just ordered "Jethro Junior" and "Silver Spur" :D there's no point ordering just one because I won't put it down and then I'll be without a book :( At least I now have some reading material for when I go back up to my house at uni... yes that's now cool I am

This has got me thinking of when I used to read The Saddle Club books over and over! And the version for little people, Pony Tales (I used to think that was so clever, ha). And that one day I wanted to be just like them, and that my riding school was nowhere near as cool :p

My daughter reads them (Then I sneak in and read them after she's gone to bed!)

There were 3 Pullein - Thompsons - Diana is the missing one from the post above. I dug out all my old pony books from 30+ years ago and my daughter reads them now. The Jill series by Ruby someone. Jackie series by Judith Berisford (my favourite!). The Shantith series - can't remember who wrote that....

Looking at the more modern books, dd reads The Fetlocks Hall series by Babette Cole - a bit young but a fun read none the less. And Show Jumper Rivals by Stacey Gregg. Now there is a book I could not put down - we've got the second in the series on pre order from Amazon and there will be blood in the house over whether I get that first or dd!
