Halfway house for Flint

At the moment Flint is with me,he arrived last night in the dark but has settled weel and as soon as we arrived this morning he neighed.
When I removed his rug I was shocked he is thin and has a sore on his side .He was turned out alone for an hour and rolled and rolled in the muddiest patch.He never went far just stood by the gate, he was then lunged and put to bed with some hay .He neighed to the other horses in the field but overall he was very good and settled to eat ,he can eat hay for England.As we left we gave him his lunch and he was really happy.
He is a really sweet and lunged beautifully ,just a couple of bucks then down to work .He deserves the best .I am so happy Pete has him back he is a small horse but has good bone and a great character.

Thats great. How can people let horses get into such a condition in such a short space of time. At least he is now in good loving hands & I look foward to frequent updates!

I have had half a day at work- so am home and have just picked up your messages from yourself and C. I didnt want to mention his condition last night as I wanted it to be a happy post but I am a little disgusted and saddened by his condition. He was very quiet last night and subdued. May I add they have not been feeding him, it SEEMED like (i dont know 100%) that he has taken a wacking down the line (he wasnt too keen on any of the men near him last night) bar me, but I am like a woman!!
Knowing Flint like I do, he will be back to himself in no time, he just needs to be allowed to find himself again.

Just heard Flint is now black, he was stripped and tied up on yard and being groomed but they were shooting in the woods and a gun went off and so did he and rolled in the mud minus rug. Oh ,dear, daughter now panicking that Pete will be cross his horse has changed colour.Well it cheered me up , having a bad time ,see soapbox
